AsiaOne
Seeing is believing

Undergraduate Lee Hsein Loong, 22, could not believe his ears when a fellow student told him about AsiaOne's Click2Win contest.

Mr Lee said: "He told me about it, but I didn't think it was true, until I saw the story of the first winner on AsiaOne's website."

When it finally sank in that the contest was really on, he decided to take part in it - with a vengeance - and ended up as the Week 3 winner of the contest.
He won a $1,500 Acer Inspire laptop.

"I'm very happy about winning the laptop which comes in very handy. My friend didn't think I would win!" gushed Mr Lee.

But the win did not come easy. It took the third-year chemical engineering student from National University of Singapore two weeks of constant tracking - and perserverance - to spot the banner and he finally caught it in AsiaOne Just Woman section. He and his friend spent hours in front of the computer looking for that elusive banner.

Along the way, Mr Lee also discovered a lot of other "goodies" on AsiaOne and now visits the free-access website regularly, especially to get his daily news updates.
