FORMER national bowler Valerie Teo gave bowling tips at a women's bowling clinic yesterday.

It was jointly organised by Singapore Press Holdings' (SPH) My Paper, Singapore's first free Chinese newspaper, and the Singapore Sports Council.

At another SPH event at Suntec City, more than 70 companies offered at least 1,000 jobs at the CATS career fair.CATS Recruit is expecting 50,000 people to turn up for the two-day event.

At the KK Women's and Children's Hospital, Young Parents magazine had a seminar to prep parents for their children's Primary 1 education.

Ongoing at Marina Square is women's fitness magazine Shape's three-day carnival where more than 10,000 people have turned up so far.

About 6,000 participants were flagged off at the Esplanade for the Shape Run this morning.
