Motorcycle collision at Geylang

A motorcycle pillion rider fell and was dragged several metres after a collision between the machine and a pedestrian outside a Geylang pub early on Sunday morning.

The rider in his early 20s and his woman pillion in her teens, were believed to be heading towards the city at 1am when the accident took place at the junction of Geylang Road and Lorong 42.

The pedestrian, who is in his mid 20s, suffered minor injuries and was sent to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

It is understood from witnesses that the pedestrian was coming out of a Vietnamese pub near a coffeeshop selling Vietnamese and Thai food.

Witnesses said, just before the accident, that they saw the pedestrian swaying about as he crossed the road.
