Woman punched and robbed in Sengkang

SINGAPORE - A WOMAN was punched in the face and robbed of her handbag early on Sunday morning at a footpath near Block 321C Anchorvale Drive.

The woman, who is in her mid 20s, was talking a friend on her handphone when the man came from behind and punched her before snatching her $2,000 bag.

He tried to grab her necklace as well but failed because she put up a struggle.

The victim's bag contained a wallet worth $850 and a $430 handphone, among other items.

The assailant was last seen wearing a dark blue T-shirt.
