The Straits Times

THE body of a woman found dead in an unfinished condominium unit along Queensway was believed to have been in a cardboard box.

According to Lianhe Wanbao, her naked and bloody body had been bent into a paper carton about one-metre in length, width and height.

She was found in a third-floor unit at the uncompleted Viz @ Holland condo project. It is believed she died at the scene.

The woman was fair-complexioned and believed to have been in her 20s. Her ethnicity was not known. She was found when a foreign worker chanced upon the box on Sunday.

The Bangladeshi saw the corpse when he lifted the lid of the closed box, a fellow worker told The Straits Times last night.

Stunned by the grisly find, he alerted his supervisors, who called the police at about 10.45am.

So far, the police have not arrested anyone in what they have classified a murder case.

It is still not known who she is. No one claimed her body from the mortuary on Monday morning.

Police are still investigating the crime that took place at the 165-unit District 10 condominium.
