TWO decomposing bodies, believed to be those of an elderly father and his middle-aged daughter, were found in a Lorong Ah Soo flat on Friday.

The police were called after neighbours noticed a stench at the flat in Block 128, Lorong Ah Soo and saw flies coming out of it.

The dead man was 82 years old, and the woman was 50.

An 80-year-old woman, believed to be the wife of the dead man, was also in the flat when the bodies were discovered.

She was taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

She had reportedly told a neighbour that her husband and daughter were 'sleeping', when asked where they were.

The chairman of the residents' committee, Mrs Liew Soo Wah, who hurried to the flat when she heard about it, said it was a mess, with disused food wrappers and faeces in it.

She said the man was found in the living room and the woman in the bedroom.

Police do not suspect foul play.
