Worker crushed to death at Marina Bay IR site

A WORKER died after a wall collapsed on him on Wednesday morning at the construction site of the Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort.

Civil Defence paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene at 11.25am.

The worker, a Chinese national in his 30s, suffered multiple fractures and showed signs of internal bleeding.

Police said that they are investigating the industrial accident.

Ministry of Manpower officers were also at the scene to check if work at the construction site along Marina Boulevard should be halted.
