Art works popping up in unexpected places

ARTS galleries and museums are no longer the only places to view artworks.

Now, arts fans can flock to at least five other venues - from a bar to a hotel to a bookshop - to view and even buy artworks.

The Marina Mandarin hotel, for example, has a scheme which selects promising artistes to work on an exhibition in its own premises.

The Majestic Bar in Bukit Pasoh Road is another place where customers can check out a collection of art installations.
