The National Environment Agency (NEA) has finished cleaning up the oil slicks that hat landed on part of the East Coast beach on Tuesday.

The oil slicks were detected in the seas and the beach off East Coast Park, stretching from the Road Safety Park to just before the East Coast Lagoon.

As a precautionary measure, the public is advised to continue to avoid swimming or using the beach along the affected stretch of East Coast Park until further notice.

The NEA will continue to monitor the situation.
