FORMULA One fans have a chance to experience what it's like to experience the adrenaline rush of driving a F1 car - for free.

Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) on Tuesday unveiled one of two custom-built simulators that gives fans a chance to be in the F1 driver's seat.

The SingTel Ultimate Race replicates Singapore's inaugural night race in great detail, with drivers whizzing past iconic local landmarks such as the Esplanade and City Hall.

As the simulators are mounted on motion-enabled platforms, fans will experience every bump and turn of the street circuit.

The first simulator will be located at SingTel's headquarters at Comcentre, while the second car will make its rounds around the island.

SingTel Group CEO Chua Sock Koong said: 'For decades SingTel has been bringing innovative new services and products to our customers and being title sponsor for the Formula One is no different. We want to bring the best Formula One experience to everyone in Singapore.'

In a bid to engage everyone as Singapore gears up for the race, SingTel also host activities predicting the qualifying and race winner and voting for their favourite Grid Girl at their new website www.singtelrace.com

The site will provide F1 news as well as a platform for local F1 fans to share their passion. There will also be celebrity blogs by Jaymee Ong and Glenn Ong, and a Fan Cam section where photos and videos can be uploaded and viewed.

And for those who prefer to experience the F1 simulator in the comfort of their home, the SingTel Ultimate Race can also be downloaded as a PC game at and can be downloaded at www.singtelrace.com from Wednesday.
