THE woman who sued a Catholic Order, two priests and six church-goers for traumatising her with an alleged forced exorcism at the Novena Church, will not be coming back to court.
The trial, which lasted 12 days last year, resumed on Monday and is scheduled for 29 days.
Last year, Madam Amutha Valli Krishnan's first appearance in the witness stand was for 15 minutes, marked by repeated weeping and shouting.
Her second appearance lasted longer but ended abruptly after she appeared unable to recall much of her past and contradicted herself.
In court on Monday, one of the defence lawyers, Mr Tito Isaac, raised the question of whether she will come back to continue testifying.
Her lawyer, Mr R. S. Bajwa, told the High Court that Madam Valli is not in a position to give evidence.
He said that Madam Valli's psychiatrist, Dr Angelina Chan, will give the reason when she comes on the stand on Friday.
Testifying on Monday was another of Madam Valli's doctors, Associate Professor Ong Thiew Chai. He was the first to diagnose Madam Valli as suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.
