TAIWANESE pop rock band F.I.R. has written four new songs especially for Singapore fans.

The songs will debut at their concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Aug 8.

The performance is the trio's first ticketed concert outside Taiwan in four years.

Although the group - comprising renowned producer Ian Chen, 37, vocalist Faye Chan, 27, and guitarist Real Huang, 28 - have released four albums and produced numerous radio hits such as Lydia and Our Love, they did not feel they were ready for a live concert, says Chen.

Chen, who was in town recently to promote the concert with Chan, explains: 'We wanted to wait till we have produced enough songs before we open a concert in a foreign country so that we won't have to sing covers.'
