This year, the 29th Singapore Lecture will be delivered by The Honourable Kevin Rudd, the Prime Minister of Australia.

Inaugurated by the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies (ISEAS) in 1980, the Singapore Lecture Series was designed to provide an opportunity for statesmen and intellectual leaders to reach a wider audience in Singapore.

The event will be held on Tuesday, August 12, at the Ritz Carlton and will be chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Professor S Jayakumar.

Past speakers included Mr Kofi A. Annan, the Secretary-General of the United Nations and Mr George Bush, the former president of the United States.
