168 youths receive NYAA award

OVER 168 youths received the top youth achievement award in a ceremony held at the Institute of Technical Education College East Auditorium on Friday afternoon.

The winners received their award from President S R Nathan.

Central Singapore District Mayor Mr Zainudin Nordin, who is a member of the award's advisory board, said in his speech at the ceremony that the programme has grown from just 150 participants when it first started in 1992 to the current number of 178,000 active participants.
