Grants for IDM starters

FOR the first time, talented interactive digital media professionals will be able to get up to $50,000 in government grants to help launch their dreams.

Media Development Authority of Singapore deputy chief executive Michael Yap announced this at a digital media conference and exhibition on Friday, at which the agency also appointed a new incubator for the digital media industry, the Singapore Infocomm Technology Federation (Sitf).

Previously, only companies were eligible for government grants, said Mr Yap.
