Peeping tom's fine doubled

A MALAYSIAN man who filmed his female flatmate in the shower was given a day's jail and had his fine doubled to $8,000 on Friday.

Justice Lee Seiu Kin imposed the sentence on Gan Eng Hoe, 27, a quantity surveyor, after hearing the prosecution's appeal against his original sentence of a $4,000 fine.

The prosecution argued that the sentence was manifestly inadequate.
