The inaugural International Energy Week (IEW) will be launched today at the Rafffles City Convention Centre.
Minister for Trade and Industry, Mr Lim Hng Kiang will officially launch the event.
About 400 local and foreign delegates are expected to attend the Singapore Energy Conference, themed “Powering Cities of the Future”. The highly anticipated Singapore Energy Lecture will be delivered by Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew.
The conference serves as a timely platform for international and regional policy-makers, academics and industry players in the energy sector to share ideas and strategise energy options for the future.
International Energy Week also features an official theme song, Your Life, My Life (Feel The Energy), specially composed by Cultural Medallion winner, Iskandar Ismail.
Programme Highlights of the IEW The IEW will be held from Nov 3 to Nov 7, 2008. The IEW is a week of energy events comprising of conferences, workshops, seminars, courses, site visits, exhibitions, launches and networking dinners. There are a total of 38 events during the week. Highlights include:
