Call for recycling bins
Sat, Nov 15, 2008
The Straits Times

THE National Environment Agency (NEA) is urging condominiums and private apartments to provide recycling bins in their estates, following a new ruling that made it mandatory to do so from Nov 1.

The advisory comes as after calls from residents for recycling receptacles to be provided in their estates.

The Management Council for such residences can decide on the type of recycling bins suitable for their estate, such as size and type of bins, or providing a separate chute for recyclables.
