IKEA conducted a nationwide online survey from Nov 3 to 12 to sneak a peek into the everyday lives of Singaporeans.

The 35-question survey ran instore, on the IKEA website, through interactive banners placed on asiaone.com as well as over 7 local radio stations, in all four languages.

Close to 8,000 respondents shared valuable insights to how they would like to improve their everyday lives at home. From the survey, quirky results and nosy facts about "eastern" and "western" Singaporeans were revealed.

From a simple question, "If you can change anything in your everyday life at home, what would it be?" the overwhelming response threw up equally bizarre results.

Survey results:

Singaporeans loving it!
80% of the Singaporeans make love with the lights on! Couples who make love with the lights out are mostly living in Pasir Ris.

The truth about cats and dogs
50% of the Singaporeans will do anything for their pets! An amazing 19.2% of them saying that they would do anything for dogs. 6.4% of them are crazy about cats. And there are 2.8% who rather have pets than children at home.

The naked truth
Depending on where you live, you might come across a naked neighbour! More men than women walk around naked in the bedroom and most of these men live in Jurong. 10% of the men in Sengkang like to walk around naked in the bedroom!

Behind closed doors in the privacy of their bedrooms, the differences couldn't be anymore bare. 21% more men walk around naked in their bedroom than women. The ladies meanwhile are more into pillow talk than men - a good 34% more!

If you are a home-nudist, here is a useful update on the top spying neighbours. Snooping neighbours are found in:
Clementi 49.8%
Queenstown 48.7%
Pasir Ris 45.4%
