Student admits causing crash

A POLYTECHNIC student who was driving his father's car at around midnight along Old Upper Thomson Road on Jan 29, lost control and went off the road, plunging 1 metre downhill before hitting some trees.

Two passengers at the back of the Mitsubishi Lancer, Nanyang Polytechnic students Mr David Li, 18, and Mr Mervin Teo, 19, did not survive the crash.

Mr Li died on the spot while Mr Teo died the next day at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
