MOTORISTS heading across the Causeway have until Dec 16 to acquaint themselves with Johor Baru's new customs, immigration and quarantine (CIQ) facility, the Sultan Iskandar Complex.

While immigration checks are still carried out at the old terminal for now, motorists are being directed to drive through the new terminal before it becomes fully operational in two weeks.

Speaking to The Straits Times, Johor state immigration director Mohd Nasri Ishak said the arrangement would familiarise the public with the new routes through the CIQ ahead of time.
