Heavy rain coinciding with high tides over the next couple of days could lead to localised flash floods in the low-lying areas.

Areas such as Kampong Lorong Buangkok, Jalan Seaview, Mountbatten Road/Meyer Road, Lorong 101 to Lorong 106 Changi and Everitt North Road could be affected, said the National Environment Agency's (NEA) Meteorological Services Division in a statement today.

"Periods of moderate to heavy rain are expected to affect Singapore on one to two days between Sunday 14 and Wednesday 17 December 2008, with high tides ranging from 3.1 to 3.2 metres expected between the same period," said NEA

Motorists travelling along roads in these areas are advised to exercise caution if there are flash floods.
