Bus driver gets assault charge

A BUS driver was charged with assaulting a cabby and stepping on the accelerator of his vehicle, causing it to knock down the victim.

Ong Pang Cheow, 45, allegedly slapped and fisted Mr Ong Hock Hai, 45, on the left eye along Bukit Batok Street 23 on Jan 31 last year (07).

He is also accused of doing a rash act to endanger life by driving the bus forward and knocking down the victim.
