MISS Ho Sie Sie, 25, has never been intoxicated to the point of falling over or throwing up in a cab.
But that has not stopped her from telling other youths about the dangers of binge drinking - having five or more drinks in one session.
The final-year student of Nanyang Technological University's Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information is one of more than 40 ambassadors for Singapore's first youth-led initiative, Get Your Sexy Back (GYSB), to encourage 18- to 25-year-olds to drink responsibly.
The programme, spearheaded by Asia Pacific Breweries Singapore, was introduced last December, and is supported by my paper, and companies such as Sony BMG, New Urban Male and St James Power Station.
"I have seen how things can get pretty chaotic when someone gets drunk, like they stumble while walking down the stairs and they lose control of themselves," recalled Miss Ho.
"Besides, alcohol is so expensive... There are so many things to enjoy."
A clutch of GYSB ambassadors will be at the Get Your Sexy Back roadshow at Cathay Cineleisure Orchard tomorrow from 2pm to 6pm.
They will seek out youths willing to fill out a form promising to drink responsibly. They can also sign up online.
In return, they get Get Your Sexy Back merchandise like badges and stickers, as well as cards with tips on how to drink responsibly.
For instance, they should decide early how much they want to drink and stick to the limit. They should also be cautious with unfamiliar drinks.
Youth alcohol consumption peaks during the festive season as there are more parties and celebrations going on.
This is why the cards were made wallet-sized - so people can carry them around as a reminder not to get sloshed.
The card also features a drinks unit table to help track how many units of alcohol have been ingested.
