Two Singaporeans who were in the vicinity of the Santika Pub when the fire broke out remain unaccounted for, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement issued Jan 2.

MFA and the Singapore embassy in Bangkok have been in close contact with their next-of-kin, and working closely with the local authorities to determine their status.

They are also checking if there are any other Singaporeans affected.
