With just one more day before the big Hongbao Toto draw of $10 million, plenty of people are purchasing a chance at striking lottery and many of them are placing their bets with family members, friends and even colleagues.

But did you know that partnering certain zodiacs might alter your luck?

According to fengshui consultants interviewed by Shin Min Daily News, they unanimously agreed that partnering people born under a certain zodiac could bring about good fortune. However, partnering the wrong zodiac might bring bad luck to each other.

He also told the Chinese evening daily that whether it is picking Toto numbers or purchasing randomly generated numbers, compatible zodiac partners have a higher chance at striking lottery than incompatible ones.

Fengshui Consultant Master Chen Jun Rong pointed out that avid gamblers should look for their compatible zodiac partner as it would increase their chances at winning.

Those born under the Dragon should look for...

Those born in the year of the Rooster, told Master Chen to Shin Min Daily News.

"Those who are born under the Dragon sign must partner with people born under the Rooster to increase their chances at striking lottery," said Master Chen.

He also pointed out that the luckiest signs this year are the Rat and Dog. The Ox is a compatible sign for the Rat and the Dog should look for Rabbit partners.

Master Wei Jing Wen, another Fengshui Consultant who spoke to the Chinese evening daily, advised those who are looking at purchasing Toto bets, to look for partners who are regular prize winners.

"These people already have a lucky streak in them. Partnering with them can bring good fortune to you too," said Master Wei.

Master Wei also advised on how to tell if one is lucky: "To tell whether someone is lucky, look at their wrists.

"Look at the left wrist of a man and the right one of a woman. People who are lucky tend to have a Chinese character 'mi' (rice) on their wrist."

What type of people make bad partners?

• People with mouse-like facial features: If your Toto combinations come out, they might lie and tell you that they never placed a bet, so that they can collect the winnings for themselves.
• People with sharp features such as a sharp chin or forehead: These people have no luck. People with round features are lucky. Those with big noses are considered very lucky.
• Bad-tempered people: These people do not have enough 'qi' in them and without it, they are naturally unlucky.
• Talkative people and gossipmongers: These people are hardly happy and are usually irritable. They bring about negative energy, hence they do not have much luck.
