PRADA was the hottest fashion label and the Apple iPhone 3G was the coolest gadget in 2008.

These were some of the results of over 11,000 votes cast by readers of Internet portal AsiaOne for its inaugural People's Choice Awards.

Organised by AsiaOne and held at the Singapore Press Holdings' building last night, the awards honoured the best services, products and trends which got consumers talking.

Winners include the Honda Jazz 1.3 for the best budget car, the POSB Everyday Card for the favourite credit card and Wii Fit by Maxsoft for the most popular game.

California Fitness was the No. 1 fitness centre of 2008 and Changi Airport was voted the top airport in Asia.

The Singapore Institute of Management was also voted the best private school in 2008.

Winners were determined entirely by votes cast last December by AsiaOne's readers, who selected their choices from 10 candidates in each category, with 11 categories in total.
