SINGAPORE - Singapore's annual inflation slowed to 1.6 percent in March from 1.9 percent in February as transport costs fell.

Consumer prices showed no change after seasonal adjustments month-on-month, following a 0.8 percent contraction in February, the Department of Statistics said in a statement on Thursday.

Singapore's inflation has been on the downtrend since peaking at a 26-year high of 7.5 percent in April, May and June last year.
