THIS year's Singapore Press Holdings' Ink Awards, which honour the best in print advertisements and the creative people behind them, will now include a new category.

The Integrated Campaign category is open to advertising campaigns that have appeared not only in newspapers, but also in at least two other SPH marketing platforms like magazines, radio or online media.

Mr Leslie Fong, senior executive vice-president of SPH's marketing division, said: "Nowadays, it is necessary for marketers to select a range of different tools to reach their audience. The Ink Awards aim to reward creative integrated campaigns."

Aside from this new category, there are five others, including for individual and campaign press advertisements, as well as classified and recruitment advertisements.

To be eligible to participate, entries must have appeared in any of the 17 SPH newspaper titles from June 1 last year to May 31.

The competition, now in its fourth year, is open to all agencies, advertisers and advertising-related organisations.

Entries must be submitted by June 1.

Winners will be announced in a gala event in July.

The top entry of each category will win $3,000 in cash as well as a full-page advertising space in SPH's flagship newspapers, The Straits Times and Lianhe Zaobao.

In addition, one of the six top entries will be named the Grand Prix winner and receive a $10,000 cash prize.
