NDP sneak peek

Spectators at this year's National Day Parade can look forward to an action-packed, thrilling display by the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) and the Home Team.

The Total Defence Display (TDD) before the parade segment promises to be a multi-sensory display with action in the air, around the floating platform and in the bay, accompanied by multimedia video and pyrotechnic effects.

This segment features SAF soldiers with the latest operational gear, Naval Divers from the Naval Diving Unit and Snipers from the Army. Parade-goers will see the action up-close this year when the soldiers take their positions in the spectator stands.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF)'s Hazardous Materials team (HAZMAT) debuts this year, while the bay area comes alive with a boat chase from the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) and Police Coast Guard.

Look out for Apache attack helicopters which conclude the TDD segment with their air support sequence.

The TDD aims to provide a riveting close encounter of the operational readiness of the SAF and the Home Team in defending the country.
