Singapore and Indonesia conduct mine-countermeasure exercises

ANNUAL mine-countermeasure (MCM) exercises are being conducted by The Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) and the Indonesian Navy (TNI-AL) from June 29 to July 7 at the eastern coast of Bintan, Indonesia, and in the Singapore Strait.

Two RSN mine-countermeasure vessels and one TNI-AL vessel as well as a minesweeper, are participating in this exercise.

The two navies will conduct joint operations against simulated mine threats under the code name "JointMINEX".
