TEN breast cancer survivors did their part for charity on Thursday, clocking a combined total of 30 km on treadmill to raise $5,000.

The women were taking part in a Raffles Place roadshow launch for the Great Eastern Women 10K, an all-female race currently into its fourth year. The $5,000 donation was provided by the event's title sponsor, Great Eastern.

The race will be held on Nov 1 at the Padang as part of the Marina Bay urban Challenge. Organisers hope to attract 15,000 participants, up from 10,000 last year.
