A SNATCH thief who stole from an elderly woman was arrested on Friday, just a day after the dirty deed.

The 82-year-old woman was walking at the void deck of Block 48 in Stirling Road on Thursday noon when the suspect, 52, snatched her gold necklace.

After extensive investigations, police from the Clementi Police Division managed to establish the suspect's identity and caught him on Friday at his home in Ghim Moh road.
