(Above: ACTION! Brothers Nicholas Ng (left) and Christopher look on, riveted, as SAF soldiers get close to the spectators during a mock terrorist attack.)
By Kenny Chee
IT WAS a moment of awe for two brothers who harbour dreams of becoming soldiers.
Christopher Ng, seven, and Nicholas, six, got to see the soldiers they admire up close at their first National Day Parade (NDP) on Sunday.
They were there with their family and relatives, thanks to a contest organised by RazorTV and Stomp.
my paper follows the Ng family from a flat in Choa Chu Kang Central to the Marina Bay Floating Platform and chronicles their highlights.

Excitement builds | The Ng family prepare to set off from
their Choa Chu Kang home for the parade. Joining them is
Christopher's grandmother, Madam Ang Ah Moi, 58 (seated). |
 |
S'pore wave | Christopher's mother, human resource
executive Eileen Chua, 30 (left), and his engineer father
Patrick Ng, 31, at the spectator' gallery of the Marina
Bay Floating Platform as the NDP hosts rouse the crowd. |
 |
Sky-high spirits | Sitting on his maid's lap, Bryan,
Christopher's three-year-old brother, waves his Singapore
flag as the Red Lions parachute down to the Floating Platform. |
 |
Kid in charge | With the Floating Platform awash in a sea
of bewitching red and white lights at night, Bryan (right)
hurries to the front to wave at the performers. |
