HALF-HEIGHT platform screen doors will go up at three MRT stations by the end of this year, with the first sets of doors installed at Pasir Ris station yesterday.

In December, the 1.5m-high doors will start operating at Pasir Ris, Jurong East and Yishun stations.

From January, similar doors will go up at the remaining 33 above-ground stations here. They will be fully completed by 2012, said the Land Transport Authority, which is spending $126 million on the project.
