WANT to see sea creatures, coral and other aquatic life reinvented as balloon art pieces?

You can, at Northpoint's Giant Balloon Festival, an annual event running from now till Sunday, in conjunction with the September school holidays.

FOR THE KIDS
EXPRESS A WAVE OF CREATIVITY

When: From now till Sunday. Starts daily at 1pm, while Saturday's event starts at 3pm.
What: Shoppers who spend a minimum of $50 (maximum of three same-day combined receipts) can participate in a crafts workshop. Limited to 10 children per session.

FASTEST BALLOON POPPING COMPETITION

When: Saturday at 1pm.
What: Sign up for this event by Friday, and stand a chance to be one of 10 shortlisted teams (each comprising one adult and a child aged six to 12 years). You'll be trying to burst 100 balloons in the fastest time possible. The top three teams will walk away with shopping vouchers worth a total of $1,000 and a chance to make it into the Singapore Book Of Records.

TALENT ROVING

When: From now till Sunday,
at 7pm on weekdays, and at 1pm and 7pm on Saturday and Sunday.
What: Entertainers dressed up in sea-creature balloon costumes will charm both adults and children, and provide lots of photo opportunities for everyone.

FOR THE ADULTS
SHOPPING VOUCHERS REWARD

When: From now till Sunday.
What: Shoppers who spend a minimum of $80 (maximum of three same-day combined receipts) can redeem a $5 shopping voucher. Vouchers are limited to one redemption per shopper per day, while supplies last. Visit the customer-service counter on Level 2. Also ask about the Pick A Seashell contest.
