I OFTEN visit friends who live in Upper Bukit Timah.
The senior citizens' corner in the void deck of Block 4, Toh Yi Drive, is often misused.
I have seen a man spending the night on a bench in the corner, as well as parking attendants who chit-chat and have their meals at the tables there.
I have no objection to parking attendants taking a break in the area, but I have seen many dirtying the tables with their food and, worse, smoking without consideration for the elderly.
The floor is littered with cigarette butts and ash.
Senior citizens' corners are meant for the elderly, who form a significant part of the population in the neighbourhood.
What I described above are examples of outrageous misuse of community facilities.
