A FOREIGN worker preparing to paint a Housing Board flat in Bukit Panjang died on Thursday morning after being hit by a piece of falling concrete.

The Indian national was preparing a gondola with two others on the ground floor of Block 248 Bangkit Road when the incident happened at about 9.30am.

A piece of concrete which broke off from a roof parapet of the 13-storey block fell 42m onto the worker, said a Ministry of Manpower spokesman.
