PM Lee meets Obama

PRIME Minister Lee Hsien Loong and US President Barack Obama met on Sunday morning and had a good discussion on a wide range of issues.

At their meeting in the Istana held on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) Leaders meeting, the two leaders, who last met in May 2007 during PM Lee's visit to the US, discussed the health of the global economy, regional developments, and the role of Apec, Asean and the G-20.

Both reaffirmed the excellent bilateral relations between Singapore and the United States, said a statement from the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday.
