Apec spouses tour S'pore

WHILE their husbands were wrestling with affairs of state, some of the spouses of Apec leaders checked out the sights around town on Sunday including taking a spin on the Flyer.

Seven spouses - including Mrs Ani Bambang Yudhoyono of Indonesia, Hong Kong, China's Mrs Selina Tsang and Ms Therese Rein, wife of Aussie Prime Minister Kevin Rudd - took to the skies.

Ms Ho Ching, wife of PM Lee Hsien Loong, and Mdm Lee Ai Boon, wife of Trade and Industry Minister Lim Hng Kiang, hosted the group while Mrs Cheong Koon Hean, chief executive of the Urban Redevelopment Authority, played tour guide on the giant wheel.
