THE National Kidney Foundation (NKF) plans to dip into its reserves of about $270 million to keep its commitments to Singaporeans suffering from kidney failure.
The measure is being considered after the charity suffered one of its worst financial results in years, its chairman Gerald Ee told The Sunday Times.
Its deficit amounted to $900,000 in the last fiscal year ended June, with donations from the public falling even as the NKF suffered a knock on its investment income amid the still difficult economic situation.
