By Lim Wei Chean

THE national drive to improve service will see several new thrusts to boost customer satisfaction levels, said Mr Lim Swee Say, Minister in Prime Minister's Office on Thursday.

Mr Lim, who spearheads the drive, said the scope of Go the Extra Mile for Service (Gems) and training programmes like the Customer Centric Initiative, will be broadened to focus not just on customer service but also customer satisfaction.

The Customer Satisfaction Index of Singapore, which has fallen for the last two years, will also be promoted through programmes like CCI and the second phase of Gems, called Gems Up.
