THE National Environment Agency (NEA) and the Johor's Department of Environment (DOE) will hold a large-scale chemical release emergency response exercise on Wednesday at the Second Crossing at Tuas.
The exercise will simulate the release of concentrated hydrochloric acid and sulphuric acid from the damaged drums on both land and sea.
Other Singapore agencies, including the Singapore Civil Defence Force, Singapore Police Force, Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, Police Coast Guard, Raffles Marina Pte Ltd and Immigration and Checkpoints Authority, will join in the exercise, to be held from 9 am to 1 pm.
