THE largest showroom of electric bicycles and scooters opened here yesterday.

The showroom, run by Ampere Vehicles, stocks five models of electric bikes and two electric-scooter models. Its founder, Ms Hemalatha Annamalai, said that its opening rides on governmental support for green initiatives and technology, which will lead to the arrival of the first electric cars here in July.
