A male body was found this morning near Jurong Island at around 8.25am.
An online news source said the police could not confirm the identity of the body.
However, it is believed to be that of lorry driver Jason Lim Wei Kwan, who went missing after his vehicle fell off a barge into the sea on Saturday.
Lim's employer United Transware told The Straits Times that the identity of the body is still being established.
His vehicle was found on Sunday. It had been washed some 300m away from the accident site off Pasir Panjang Terminal.
It was found near Sungai Pandan on Sunday morning.
This is the second body found in as many weeks.
On Dec 7, a male Chinese corpse was found in the waters around East Coast Park at about 4.20pm.
The deceased man's face was covered in blood and he appeared to have suffered head injuries.
