The Straits Times

LONDON - TWO men are due to appear in a London court on Tuesday, charged with offences under the Terrorism Act.

Amjad Mahmood, 29, and Shella Roma, 27, both of Chester Road, Werneth, Oldham, were due to appear before Westminster Magistrates' Court.

Officials said the pair, who are on bail, were arrested late last month by Greater Manchester Police's Counter Terrorism Unit.

They are charged with having distributed a terrorist publication with the aim of giving 'direct or indirect encouragement or other inducement to the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism'. -- REUTERS
