Hillary writes off loan

MRS Hillary Clinton has written off US$13.1 million (S$18.9 million) in personal funds she lent her failed presidential campaign, it has been revealed.

Mrs Clinton, who is slated to be Secretary of State in eventual winner Barack Obama's Cabinet, had said she would absorb the cost herself.

Her campaign still owes US$6.3 million to vendors.
