MOSCOW, RUSSIA  - A Russian interior ministry transport plane crashed on Sunday in the far-eastern Yakutia region, killing all 11 people on board, Ria-Novosti said.

The Ilyushin crashed at 8.40am (2340 GMT on Saturday, 7.40am Singapore time) shortly after take-off from Mirny, a local official from the emergency situations ministry told the news agency.

'The bodies of all 11 crew members have been found,' he said, adding that the plane was not carrying any cargo. A panel is probing the cause of the accident.
