KUALA LUMPUR - Two Express Rail Link (ERL) trains collided at KL Sentral station on Sunday night, leaving three passengers injured. All three victims received outpatient treatment at a hospital. This is the first reported accident involving ERL trains since it began service 12 years ago.

One of the trains was about to depart at 9.45pm for Kuala Lumpur International Airport when another train, which was empty, rammed into its rear.

ERL Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Noormah Mohd Noor said the rest of the passengers were put on another train.

Noormah added that an investigation was being carried out.
