KUALA LUMPUR - The personal website of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has a new look, including, among others, columns on "My Record" and "Action".
The column "My Record" features segments on Economic Progress, 1Malaysia Initiative, Political Transformation, Global Involvement and Leadership.
Under the segment on 1Malaysia Initiative, programmes focusing on the people in sectors such as housing, health, education, transportation and welfare are highlighted.
Visitors to the blog, which can be accessed via www.1malaysia.com.my, are also able to follow activities and developments involving the Prime Minister under the "Online Adventure with Najib Razak" section.
The blog also has a column called "Action Kit", which includes a guide book for new voters, collar pins, pens and several stickers as preparations to face the coming general election.
Under the segment on Involvement, Najib wrote that democracy was not merely about elections.
"It is about fulfilling the aspirations of the people," he said, adding that he had been humbled by the undivided support he received each time he visited a part of the country - be it Batu Caves, Brickfields, Chinatown or the rural interiors of Sabah and Sarawak.
"I always work hard to ensure that all your opinions on national prosperity and peace can be implemented, and I will continue to consider each suggestion so that you can be together in developing the country," he said.
In the Political Transformation segment, Najib said that since becoming Prime Minister in 2009, he was very clear on the Malaysian vision to achieve a modern, progressive and forward-looking nation under a democratic rule that protected the rights and freedom of the people.
Currently, the blog can be surfed in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Versions in Tamil and Chinese are expected soon.
